The only board member professionalization program accredited by the Ministry of Education

The Programme raises awareness of the understanding of corporate governance law & practice in a national and international context. While the program is designed for companies listed or prepared to be listed, it well suits Directors in financial institutions.

Although many responsibilities look the same, being a board director is a very different role from being an executive director. To successfully carry out a board mandate, directors must have a broad overview of the company’s operational activities, its governance structure and a deep understanding of its strategic direction and exposure to risk.

Programme Experience

Upon successful completion of the postgraduate program, participants will have the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to:

• Clearly understand the role, responsibilities, and obligations of a board member, the legal framework surrounding corporate governance, and the benefits of having a strong governance system
• Understand the relationship between the board of directors and the executive management, the role of specialized committees within the board, and the importance of consulting internal and external advisors for guidance
• Effectively manage the dynamics of relationships within the board of directors
• Understand the legal requirements and ethical rules that apply to board members and executive leadership
• Stay informed about the latest topics and priorities on board agendas
• Contribute effectively during board meetings (through simulations of real-life scenarios)

Program Fee : €5,000, VAT applicable

Certification

Upon successful completion of the “Corporate Governance that Creates Value” program (“Corporate Governance in Practice”), participants receive a postgraduate certificate and 6 ECTS credits, in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System used in higher education.
