Dr. Lucian Anghel is one of Romania's most experienced financial services professionals, with a 25-year career spanning top management roles in banking, capital markets, and private pensions.
Career in Top Management and Capital Markets
He has held the highest responsibility roles, including Chairman of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, CEO of a private pension fund, and CEO of two banks. He also served as Chief Economist and was involved in restructuring the largest Romanian bank for privatization.
Corporate Governance and Advisory
Currently, he is an independent board member for Bittnet Group and Teraplast, companies listed on the BVB. He has also served as an external expert for the World Bank and the Foreign Investors Council (FIC).
Academic and Industry Contributions
Dr. Anghel is the founder and first Chairman of the Romanian Financial-Banking Analyst Association (AAFBR). He has authored several books and scientific articles and is an Associate Professor at SNSPA.
