Paulo Carvalho Martins ​

Paulo Carvalho Martins is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in management roles, cybersecurity strategy, auditing, consulting, and project management. He has worked across diverse sectors including finance, stock exchange, banking, energy, telecommunications, government, and retail. Paulo is highly skilled in international regulations, managing global teams, and implementing leading frameworks such as ISO, COBIT, NIST, and ISO 27001. His expertise covers security operations, incident management, risk assessment, threat intelligence, compliance, penetration testing, and forensic analysis. ​

Paulo holds an MBA in Finance from the Catholic University and ESADE, a master’s in systems and networks, and degrees in network engineering and computer science from the University of Porto. He is currently the CISO and GRC Manager at Euronext, leading security strategy, risk management, compliance, and governance. Paulo is also a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and CISA, and has served as a visiting professor at the University of Porto, teaching information security management. He is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish and French, and is an active participant in international conferences as both speaker and attendee.​
