We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Professor Andrew Kakabadse, Chairman of the Board of Envisia and one of the most respected voices in corporate governance and leadership worldwide. His loss leaves a profound void in our community and in the global conversation on what it means to lead responsibly.

 

 

A Global Leader in Governance

Professor Kakabadse’s impact was truly global. He advised governments around the world, led studies with over 20,000 international organisations, and published an extraordinary body of work including more than 270 scholarly articles and 48 books.

He created the highly successful Board Directors’ Programme at Henley Business School, and the Henley MA in Board Practice and Directorship, the first programme of its kind globally, that by premiering in Romania in 2020, has put Envisia on the map of pioneers in Governance and Boards education.

Rooted in Andrew’s extensive board governance research, the MA combines academic rigour and international boardroom expertise to shape a programme that has become a benchmark for board-level education.

He was not just a commentator on governance — he was a shaper of its future.
